Winter Meetings are here!

Well the Winter Meetings has officially started  and well.. I hate them already....  All I keep hearing is bad news when it comes to the Mets and whether or not they will trade RA.  Quite frankly I'm telling myself it's a matter of time whenI hear the news that he has been traded.  Crossing my fingers for the best!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gold Toe Redux!

So now that the weather is getting a little cooler I wanted to visit my first Bzzcampaign which was Gold Toe products---undershirts and socks from their G Collection.  I must say I really enjoyed the socks even more with the colder weather.  Yes I enjoyed socks... the same things you hated getting for Christmas..  Well this Christmas I will need them!  haha I mentioned that they were durable and comfortable--which is very true, but they are also warm enough for me to walk on hardwood and tile floors without freezing my toes off.   Try these socks out-for work or just wearing them in general!!  

Super-WHAT!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Just got an interesting email...

So as I was on the train going to what I get a message on Blowoutcards Forums.  It was from a guy in Toronto that introduced himself and then continued on to say that he has just pulled the 2012 Topps Chrome R.A. Dickey Superfractor 1/1.  "HOLY COW!!!!"-- Harry Caray

He then continued in his message to say that he has no interest in putting it up on eBay because he believes that it belongs in my collection.  How awesome is that?  It's nice to know that people appreciate the hard work I've put into my collection and think of me when they come across something like this.

So I will see what it's going to take to get this card from him and I hope I get it without breaking the bank haha.  Wish me luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BzzAgent Campaign #2-- Time for some Brew!!

So I received my second BzzAgent kit!  After experiencing the excitement from my first kit, this one made my day especially after returning from a week full of sorrow and heart-break back home due to the passing of my father..

I needed something to bounce back to my normal self and obviously this kit alone did not do that it sure did help because it was COFFEE!!! Green Mountain K-Cups Wellness collection were waiting for me to try and boy was I ready for some brew! 

I busted open the box an immediately grabbed the mini boxes of K-Cups inside and tried the Antioxident blend.  Damn was it good!  I was worried about the taste being a little medicinal but not with this blend!  The way I see it, if it is going to do what it says and help me a little on the immune side, why not, right?  The taste is the same--still rich, for me at least, so that is definitely on my future purchase list!  The Antioxidant Blend's secret wellness weapon is it's good source of Vitamin C and E in every 8oz serving.  Hence the word Antioxidant :).  Don't have the time to peel an orange???  Grab a cup of this instead. 

The Focus Blend I was not a big fan of however.  In my opinion, it did have that medicinal taste to it but it was worth a shot!  It's benefits feature 50mg of L-Theanine in every eight ounce serving.  From what I have gathered in research, L-Theanine increases alpha-brain wave activity which is a sign of induced relaxation.  Who doesn't like to have a relaxed mindset!!!!

RA Dickey Five Star---Trade Talks

I finally caved in and got one!  A Silver Auto, nothing fancy like the red parallel or anything hahaha.  Only cost me $36 but its coming from China so I am hoping it gets here in one piece.  The card looked like it was in good shape so if I get it in that state, I will be very pleased :)..

I'm not gonna lie... All this talk here lately has made me a little nervous.  I really do not like the idea of Dickey going to the Royals or any other team for that matter.  If the Mets trade him it will be very disappointing however I will understand why if they get a huge amount in return for him which is what it sounds like the Mets are asking for in return.  I suppose we will see.  The season can't come soon enough!!  Looking forward to another fantastic year of RA doing well and his card sky-rocketing--- oh wait I don't like that part hahaha

No Dickey Cards for me :(

I still don't have all the Topps Update, TTT, or Five Star cards!! I can't believe it!  This is due mainly because I ran out of $$$$! hahaha  I need to feed the kiddos ya know!  Plus with RA winning the Cy Young (hellz yeah) his prices have gone up a little but not as much as I thought they would. It's funny because a lot of people who are posting his stuff on eBay are asking ridiculous amounts of money and no one is buying.. So I am hoping when I get some more flexible spending money, the prices will be down a bit.  We will see, let's hope for the best!!!!!!!!!!!!

Five Star Baseball Is Out

Talk about expensive!!! Wow... $500 a box/pack!  The cards look beautiful BUT due to the thick card stock I have seen a lot of the cards dinged up pretty bad.  http://www.blowoutcards.com/forums/baseball-box-breaks/398621-guru-live-break-2012-topps-five-star-case.html

These are just some from a break on Blowout cards forums.  Out of the 5 that I have seen up on Ebay the R.A. Dickey cards have not fared out well...  Every single one of them have the sides of the cards damaged..  It is really disappointing to see this come out of such an expensive product.  I really feel for those who bought the cases before knowing this issue.  They dumped a lot of money on these cards and when they go to resell them people will not pay that kind of money on damaged cards... I will not shell out $50+ on a damaged RA card.  Auto or not, I don't care..
